Tommaso E. Giulini
Chairman
Tommaso got a degree in Business Economics at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi of Milan in 2001. He took over the control of Fluorsid in 2005 from the founder, his father the count Carlo Enrico Giulini. He first covered the role of Commercial Director and then he has been the Managing Director from 2006 to 2014. Under his leadership and through strategic acquisitions Fluorsid has become a global leader in the fluorochemical industry. From 2014 he is Chairman of Fluorsid.
Lior Metzinger
Managing Director
Graduated in Business Economics at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi of Milan in 2002, Lior joined Fluorsid in 2003, initially as a Product Manager, and as a Sales Manager after. From 2008 to 2011 Lior has been Sales Director at MINMET Financing Company. Back to Fluorsid in 2012 as Commercial Manager, in December 2021 he became Managing Director.
Daniele Tocco
Plant Director
Graduated in Electronic Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari in 2002, Daniele worked until 2005 at MINMET Financing Company in the following areas: Project Management and Plant Operating Management. Daniele joined Fluorsid in 2005 initially as Project Manager and then he took the position of Production Manager. Since 2017 Daniele is Site Director.
Andrea A. Muntoni
Board Member
Graduated in Environmental and Territorial Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari in 1998, Andrea Alessandro worked as a freelancer for 20 years acquiring health and safety assignments from public institutions and multinationals. He was Chairman of Fluorsid’s Supervisory Board from 2012 until he was nominated HSE Director in 2017.
Stefano Verna
Board Member
Chartered Accountant and Auditor since 1992, he has worked with Fluorsid Group since 2008. He is author of articles and books (Sole 24Ore, Wolters Kluwer, Italia Oggi, Maggioli, Bollettino Tributario) and speaker at conferences on corporate and tax matters. Stefano is a member of the Board of Directors since 2024.

Michele Lavanga
Special Project DIrector
Graduated in Chemical Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, he achieved a Master in Economics and Business Management at the Scuola Superiore Enrico Mattei. After working, for almost ten years, on technologies, production, strategic planning and management control within the largest national chemical and oil group, Michele joined Fluorsid in 1997. He was first Plant Manager, then General Manager and finally Managing Director until 2017. Today he takes care of the Group’s special projects.
Gianluca Ligas
Administrative Director
Graduated in Business Economics in 2000 at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, he started working at Fluorsid as an administrative clerk. In 2004, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor and four years later, in 2008, he was appointed Administrative Director of Fluorsid.
Luciano Medau
Technical Director
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 2003 at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, Luciano was immediately involved in industrial design for a leading Italian engineering company. From 2005 to 2017 he gained a deep expertise in the management of industrial chemical plants, working for important multinational groups, with the role of Project Manager, then with the role of Production Manager, until he became Plant Manager. In November 2017, Luciano joined FLUORSID, first as Maintenance Manager and then as Technical Services Manager. Since 2023 he has been Technical Director.
Luca Pala
Research & Development Director
Graduated in 2002 in Chemistry at the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, in January 2006 he obtained his PhD in Chemistry at the same university, working in the field of theoretical and experimental inorganic chemistry. At the end of his studies, he joined FLUORSID, where he immediately assumed responsibility for the chemical laboratory. Author of scientific publications and patents in the field of industrial chemistry, since 2019 he has held the position of Laboratory and R&D Director, for which he coordinates numerous research projects, of interest to the entire group.
Loukas Plakopitis
Sales Manager
Graduated in Law at the Università degli Studi di Urbino, he started his long career at FLUORSID in the Milan offices. In 2009, he moved to Cagliari and developed the by-products market for all Group companies, restructuring the purchasing department as Sales and Procurement Manager.In 2018 he returns to Milan and in 2020 becomes Purchasing Manager.In January 2024 he gets the role of Sales Director.

Cesare Mercandino
Commercial DIrector
Graduated in Business Administration at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, Cesare was immediately involved in Quality Systems, Marketing and Purchasing. In 2013 he joined FLUORSID, holding several positions in the Marketing and Sales sector. In 2022 he assumed the role of Commercial Director of Fluorsid ICIB, of which he has been Board Member since 2023.
Laura Santacroce
Managing Director
After graduating in Chemical Engineering, Laura was a Technologist and Production Manager for a major chemical plant, an experience that allowed her to later become a reference professional for chemical and pharmaceutical companies in the areas of safety, environmental and quality consulting and plant design. In 2019, she joined Fluorsid ICIB as Plant Manager. Since 2023 she has held the position of Managing Director, after three years as Sole Administrator.
ODDA
Jakob Løyning
Managing DIrector
Jakob is a veteran in the industry as he worked with aluminium fluoride production covering several positions since 1990. He has been production manager in Odda for Boliden since 2006 and when Fluorsid acquired the plant in 2016, Jakob has been appointed Managing Director for the new company.
