The Fluorine Forum 2025, the leading international event for the fluorine and chemical industry organised by IMFORMED, took place this year on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Italy, with FLUORSID serving as Lead Sponsor.
The 2025 edition — the most attended ever — brought together experts, companies and professionals from across the sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead, in a context increasingly focused on innovation, sustainability and global collaboration.
Representing FLUORSID were President Tommaso Giulini, Executive Vice President Lior Metzinger, Commercial Director Loukas Plakopitis, Special Projects Director Michele Lavanga – who presented the results and developments of the LIFE SYNFLUOR project during the conference – R&D Director Luca Pala, and Marketing Manager Marianna Putzulu from the Italian offices. Also attending were Jakob Løyning, General Manager of the Odda plant, and Andreas Waser, CEO of Mimeta, the Group’s trading company.
The event was officially opened by FLUORSID with a Welcome Reception held on the enchanting Isola dei Pescatori, attended by numerous delegates. Welcoming the guests, President Tommaso Giulini emphasised the human and professional value of direct interaction among industry leaders:
“In this changing world, with events happening faster and faster and meetings more often held across a screen, I believe it is important that industry players have first-hand knowledge of each other — perhaps over a glass of wine or a good Italian espresso. For this reason, FLUORSID is very pleased to support this event, which returns to our country in the amazing setting of Lake Maggiore.”
An authentic moment of exchange that marked the start of three days of networking, dialogue and shared experiences, once again confirming the value of cooperation within the international chemical community.
