The renewal with Alba is characterized by a more sustainable supply
It all started with the pioneering agreement in 2008. One of the first steps taken by FLUORSID in Bahrain to enter the market of the Persian Gulf. At the time the Aluminium Fluoride supply was around 1000MT and, if 15 years later the export volumes have increased by more than twenty times and FLUORSID has become one of Alba’s (Aluminium Bahrain) main suppliers, it means that the bet has been won.
After all, the signing of the new supply agreement with Alba last September will last for five years and it unequivocally shows FLUORSID’S ability to be present, as a protagonist, in one of the main Aluminium markets of the world. FLUORSID’s CEO Lior Metzinger and Alba’s CEO Ali Al Baqali both participated in the ceremony for the signing of the new deal, which renews the terms agreed upon in 2018. FLUORSID’s Sales Director Julien Le Chapelein, the president of Simply Logistics Thierry Petersen and the manager of Simplis Logistics Hasan Alsaffar were also there. For Alba, there were also the CSO Waleed Tamimi, the sr. Manager Strategic Supply & planning Mohamed Khalid, the PR Manager Abulla Seyadee and the sr. Head of Supply Nader Asad.
The deal with Alba, one of the main manufacturers of Aluminium in the Middle East, as well as first foundry in the world in terms of production capacity of a single facility (1,6 tons each year), provides for the possibility of supplying the product in bulk. This action speaks to the constant commitment of FLUORSID to fin-ding sustainable solutions and a tipping point on the way to a crucial medium-term goal: remove all the packaging in the transport of Aluminium Fluoride.
«Simplis Logistics has facilitated our reinforcement in the area – explained Metzinger after expressing great satisfaction for the deal renewal – it is a strategic asset for our group in Bahrein that ensures reliability in storage and delivery thanks to a top-level customer service».
