The football player Michele Carboni was awarded in the plant of Cagliari as the best player of the 2023/2024 football season of the Primavera team of Cagliari Calcio, as part of the partnership between Cagliari Calcio and GYPSOS.
The project, supported by the “Carlo Enrico Giulini” Foundation, included a competition for the creation of the final trophy, in which comprehensive schools based in the metropolitan city of Cagliari participated. The goal was to stimulate creativity and raise awareness among new generations on issues related to the circular economy. The trophy, made up of 80% recovered materials, was given to the winner at the FLUORSID plant, in the industrial area of Macchiareddu in Assemini, in the presence of the teachers of the Randaccio – Tuveri – Don Milani Comprehensive Institute.
“It’s a great honor, I’m very happy because it rewards the season of the whole team – commented Michele Carboni – where only the icing on the cake of access to the playoffs was missing. I thank FLUORSID and the “Carlo Enrico Giulini” Foundation because seeing the Cagliari Youth Sector supported, the work of the team together with the staff and the projects with the students represents an incentive to always do better”.
“Congratulations to Michele and the rossoblù team” says Daniele Tocco, Site Director of Cagliari. “The GYPSOS MVP award has become a reality in our company for long time. We would like to thank the students who participated in the competition by demonstrating great commitment and dedication into the design and realisation of the trophies, once again enhancing GYPSOS, our certified and environmentally sustainable calcium sulphate. Thanks to Cagliari Calcio and the Fondazione Carlo Enrico Giulini for their contribution”.
